WORK EXPERIENCE AT SPATIAL DIMENSIONS
We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Samuel from Trinity School, Sevenoaks, for a week-long work experience placement. Samuel is currently in the process of applying to university to study architecture. He was eager to learn more about how our range of services contributes to the architectural design process.
During his time with us, we introduced him to a variety of methods and technologies. These aid in turning a concept into a fully realised structure. Services include our laser scanning service, which accurately captures existing structures and spaces, and the production of topographical information, which forms a crucial base for understanding the physical context for a new design.
CAD (computer-aided design) and 3D modelling are powerful tools in the designer’s kit, allowing for greater creativity alongside greater precision. We demonstrated how these technologies enable designers to visualize their plans, solve problems, and produce realistic representations of their future buildings.
Samuel also had the opportunity to visit a topographical survey site, sit in on our Spatial Twin planning meetings and engage with surveyors, project managers and technicians.
It was a rewarding experience for both us and for Samuel, and we wish him the very best as he prepares to pursue his architectural studies!
