RANELAGH HOUSE

THE BRIEF

Ranelagh House is a much sought-after complex of high-spec flats situated in Chelsea, next to the renowned Kings Road. We were instructed by Antony Patrick Associates Ltd. to carry out measured building surveys, to provide floorplans of both the North and South blocks.

The project had extensive work planned. It was therefore imperative we got the process off to a quick start. Any delays would have resulted in missing important deadlines in the project timeline. This would result in delays and potentially rising costs with any mismeasurement resulting in rework.

Many of the flats were occupied when our work started. This presented a potential issue when surveying and we were briefed to be mindful of those currently living in the space. This also presented a challenge to coordinate access, whilst being mindful that the occupants lead busy lives. However, it was hugely important for us to carry out and deliver the work to our clients and stakeholders ASAP.

OUR WORK

In 2021, we were initially asked to produce floor plans for the communal areas only.

Due to the quick and professional service, we were invited back in 2023 to carry out surveys of 50 flats, including the provision of complete floor plans, to help with the fire strategy of the regeneration.

Our teams spent 3 initial days in 2021, followed by 10 days surveying in 2023 to complete the full job.

THE OUTCOME

On both occasions, the delivery of floor plans were delivered within the time frames given. This helped in the planning and processing stages of both phases of work.

At the time of writing, the next phase of the planned works are shortly due to commence.
