This notice explains what personal information Spatial Dimensions collects, why we collect it, how we look after it and what your rights are. It covers our website, our enquiry and download forms, our emails and the work we do for clients.

WHO WE ARE

Spatial Dimensions Ltd is a UK surveying company, registered in England and Wales, company number 08154817. Our registered office is Unit 6, Wealden Place, Bradbourne Vale Road, Sevenoaks TN13 3QQ.

We are the controller of the personal information described in this notice.

WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you contact us or ask for a quote: your name, job title, company, email address, phone number, the site or project address and anything you tell us about the job.

When you download a guide or book a CPD: your name, work email, company and job role.

When you sign up for article emails: your work email address.

When you become a client: the details needed to deliver and invoice the work, such as contact details, site access arrangements, billing details and purchase order numbers.

When you apply for a job: your CV, contact details, and anything else you choose to send us.

When you visit our website: how you use the site, the pages you view, your device and browser, and the approximate location from your IP address. This comes from cookies, explained below.

When you use the chat on our website: your messages and any contact details you give.

We don’t ask for sensitive information, such as health or religious beliefs, through our website. Please don’t send it to us.

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We never sell your information. We share it only with:

Service providers who run systems for us, under contract and only on our instructions: our CRM software (our customer database, website forms and chat), our online mailing software, our email and file storage provider, our website analytics software, the online networking services we advertise on, our accounting software provider and our website host.
People involved in your project, where you have asked us to work with them, such as your design team or contractor.
Our professional advisers, insurers and auditors, including for our ISO 9001 and Constructionline Gold certification.
Authorities, where the law requires it.

TRANSFERS OUTSIDE THE UK

Some of our service providers are based in the United States or use staff and systems there. Our customer database is hosted in the EU. Where your information leaves the UK, we rely on the UK’s adequacy regulations or on contract terms approved for international transfers, so it gets the same level of protection.

KEEPING IT SAFE

Access to personal information is limited to our own staff who need it for their work. Each person signs in to our systems with their own account and password.

COMPLAINTS

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first at info@spatial-dimensions.co.uk and we’ll put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

We have worked with Spatial Dimensions for a number of years, initially following a recommendation from another consultant, and have been extremely well looked after by Peter, Dan and Molly throughout. We are consistently impressed with the service received and they have become our go-to company for all measurement and survey works. On several occasions we have had more unusual survey requirements, including a heat-map depth survey of a concrete frame and multiple underground utility surveys on live sites. We needed a topographical survey produced and after asking around, Spatial Dimension were recommended. We are not experts in surveys so didn't really know what to ask for. However, interacting with Spatial Dimension was straightforward. They went out of their way to explain different approaches and options and took time to listen and clarify our requirements. The onsite survey itself was completed in a day, far faster then we anticipated, and they then produced accurate plan and section drawings that were easy to read with comprehensive symbols and spot heights related back to the OS Datum. A good experience for us 'amateurs', from a technically very competent and customer focussed Survey Company.

within an architectural practice. we need good and accurate surveys. when its a BIM model, geometry needs to be the correct BIM category to allow us to correctly filter / control what we want to see in view and schedule. Items need to be correctly phased as well. Spatial Dimensions are one of the few I've come across that deliver on this every time. Many surveyors don't know how to model in revit so they use other programs, convert the geometry. bring it over to revit. end up killing the model as the geometry brought over is too big (interms of memory / usually lots of polygons). They also follow good practice. where possible items are properly modelled as families or using the system tools within revit. not many if any model in place elements which can add to model size. Everything is correctly phased as well. Always properly geolocated (so many struggle with this in revit). couldn't ask for more than that having being let down by so many other companies. Note I'm a BIM manager that has been doing this approx 20 years and i can count on one hand the number of surveyors that get this right.
