THE BRIEF
Lewisham College is a large further education institution based over two sites in Lewisham and Deptford. It serves it’s local community as well as pupils from further afield.
We were commissioned to carry out topographical surveys at both sites. The main focus of the surveys was to help with an initial feasibility study.
OUR WORK
Each site involved two surveyors working their way around the extent of the survey area. Due to the differing size of each site, we outlined the time scales for either to minimise any potential disruption.
We had to work alongside the college being open for students for most of the days. It then went into a complete shut down over Christmas into the New Year. This meant we had to work to specific dates outlined by the college prior to the visit. Ultimately, we had to work quickly and efficiently whilst being wary of the students and staff on site.
Due to the time constraints, we had two teams working simultaneously liasing with the project managers.
During the process there were minor legal issues which led to the changing of the site survey area in Deptford. We worked closely with them and the project manager to ensure this was resolved prior to our next visit to continue with the task in hand.

THE OUTCOME
The Spatial Dimensions team provided comprehensive topographical survey data to Lewisham College.
All survey data was delivered by early January, to happy clients, as requested.
